About the role:

We are looking for a Maintenance Contracts Coordinator to manager our external maintenance contracts, where we provide maintenance services to other railway operators. The role reports directly to the regional maintenance manager and forms part of the maintenance leadership team.

Key responsibilities and deliverables of this position include but are not limited to:

  1. Expert customer contract management
  2. Successfully manage relationships and overcome obstacles with internal and external stakeholders to support the delivery of strategic outcomes.
  3. Manage the development of new contracts and/or review proposed contracts with stakeholders.
  4. Assist with the development of tender documentation and with the coordination of request for proposals, quotations and tenders from consultants, contractors and suppliers including the evaluation and award of contracts.
  5. Analyse and interpret contract documentation in relation to processing of invoices, progress claims, variations, etc.
  6. Identify, analyse and resolve issues arising from contractual disputes.
  7. Develop and design comprehensive contract performance cyclical reports.
  8. Interpret operational needs and requirements of contractual agreements and translate these into the relevant operational business area requirements.
  9. Lead and develop employees by promoting knowledge sharing and collaboration

About you:   

  1. High level of leadership skill in a commercial environment including the ability to build a collaborative team in diverse geographic areas while developing and maintaining a high performance culture.
  2. High level of skill in managing a broad range of asset management activities, supply chain logistics and operational safety issues.
  3. High level of financial management skills to enable ongoing improvement in the financial performance of the area while remaining customer focused and driven to improve business results.
  4. High level of interpersonal, relationship and communication skills which allow use of independent judgement to deliver superior outcomes in the areas of consultation, presentation and negotiation
