About the Role
Aurizon is proud to support a major new contract with BHP, servicing their copper operations across Pimba, Olympic Dam, Prominent Hill, and Carrapateena. This is a significant milestone for Aurizon Bulk and forms part of our expanding supply chain footprint in South Australia. As part of this contract, we're establishing dedicated operational teams at each of these key locations, creating long-term opportunities in a growing region.
As Terminal and Equipment Operators, you’ll work on a 7 days on / 7 days off roster, playing a critical role in delivering safe and efficient freight services across our terminal network. This hands-on role involves operating a variety of heavy equipment and supporting daily coordination, freight documentation, and site safety activities.
Key responsibilities:
- Operate a range of equipment including reach stackers, forklifts, front end loaders, lidlifters, scissor lifts, and boom lifts
- Safely manage container and freight movements in line with daily operational plans
- Perform basic inspections and ensure all equipment documentation is accurate and compliant
- Support terminal coordination, including basic marshalling tasks and transport system updates
- Induct customers and contractors in line with site safety protocols
- Contribute to a positive safety culture and high-performance team environment
About You
We’re looking for reliable, safety-conscious individuals with a strong work ethic and team mindset. The following tickets and licences are highly regarded (training may be provided for the right candidates):
- Forklift (10 tonne capacity)
- Front End Loader
- Lidlifter
- Reach Stacker
- Stand-Alone Rotator
- HR Truck Licence
- EWP – Elevated Work Platform
- Working at Heights
You will also have:
- A proactive and adaptable attitude
- Good communication and teamwork skills
- Strong attention to detail, especially regarding safety and compliance
- Flexibility to work across day, night, weekend, and public holiday shifts on a rotating roster
- Ability to meet all pre-employment requirements including a National Police Check, reference checks, and a medical assessment
