As a Cyber Defence Analyst, you’ll be at the frontline of monitoring, investigating, and responding to cyber threats, helping us build a stronger, smarter defence.
In this role, you will:
- Monitor, triage, and prioritise alerts, incidents, and threat intelligence outputs.
- Investigate suspicious activity and assist with threat hunting.
- Support incident response including containment, recovery, and post-incident reviews.
- Perform root cause analysis and recommend risk mitigation strategies.
- Prepare reports and maintain playbooks, tools, and processes.
- Analyse malware and vulnerabilities to enhance detection and defences.
We’re looking for someone with:
- A relevant tertiary qualification (mandatory).
- Professional certifications in SOC operations (preferred).
- Previous enterprise-level experience in a similar role.
- Scripting skills for automating security tasks and workflows.
- Experience with SIEM tools (e.g. Splunk, Microsoft Sentinel).
- Strong understanding of system/cloud administration, firewalls, and EDR tools.
- Familiarity with MITRE ATT&CK, D3FEND, YARA scanning, and deception technologies.
