About the role:  

Be part of our growth in cyber defence. We’re expanding our Cyber Security Operations capability, and this is your chance to make an impact. 

As a Cyber Defence Analyst, you’ll be at the frontline of monitoring, investigating, and responding to cyber threats, helping us build a stronger, smarter defence. 

In this role, you will:

  • Monitor, triage, and prioritise alerts, incidents, and threat intelligence outputs. 
  • Investigate suspicious activity and assist with threat hunting. 
  • Support incident response including containment, recovery, and post-incident reviews. 
  • Perform root cause analysis and recommend risk mitigation strategies. 
  • Prepare reports and maintain playbooks, tools, and processes. 
  • Analyse malware and vulnerabilities to enhance detection and defences. 
 

About you 

We’re looking for someone with: 

  • A relevant tertiary qualification (mandatory). 
  • Professional certifications in SOC operations (preferred). 
  • Previous enterprise-level experience in a similar role. 
  • Scripting skills for automating security tasks and workflows. 
  • Experience with SIEM tools (e.g. Splunk, Microsoft Sentinel). 
  • Strong understanding of system/cloud administration, firewalls, and EDR tools. 
  • Familiarity with MITRE ATT&CK, D3FEND, YARA scanning, and deception technologies.
