  • Partnering role to build and socialise tactical and strategic long-term integrated sales and operations plans for coal haulage
  • High performing team, highly visible and responsible for driving business decision making
  • Opportunities for career growth, progression and developing business networks internal and external to Aurizon

About the role:

Based at the Hexham Operations facility, this role focuses on industry-leading integrated supply and demand planning practices – not day-to-day logistics planning or scheduling. Instead, you will work in partnership with leaders to optimise, socialise and embed the integrated sales and operations plan for coal haulage.  With a dynamic, multi-faceted remit, you’ll balance supply and demand strategies, maximise utilisation of assets and labour, and most importantly, drive capacity planning outcomes that consistently meet and exceed customer expectations.

While this is not a logistics scheduling position, experience in planning/scheduling combined with strong data analysis and problem-solving skills will be highly regarded and beneficial for success in the role.

Candidates with strong data analysis and problem-solving capabilities, paired with exceptional communication skills that enable clear engagement across diverse stakeholders will be highly regarded and beneficial for success in the role. Experience within the Hunter Valley Coal Supply Chain is highly advantageous.

As the Integrated Planning Partner, you will oversee a small team responsible for leading collaborative processes to:

  • Build and socialise the Coal Integrated Plan: a demand, labour and fleet master plan
  • Assess capacity to deliver on new business and meet growth in customer demand
  • Harmonise supply and demand plans to maximise asset and labour resource utilisation and demand fulfilment
  • Support business strategic decision making through the application of analytical techniques, interpreting supply chain and operational information

About you:

  • Highly resilient with the ability to thrive under pressure and handle competing demands.
  • Superb negotiation and communications skills, communicating insights from data and analytics
  • Great conceptual and analytic skills
  • Highly proficient in using Microsoft Excel and related data and planning applications
  • Knowledge of rail supply chain would be an advantage but not essential
