About the role:

Aurizon is currently seeking applications from local Geraldton region residents to join its rollingstock maintenance team in the Narngulu depot.

This role will be responsible for the efficient operational maintenance of rollingstock to ensure the safe and efficient running of Aurizon’s fleet.

The role of Rollingstock Maintainer will be responsible for the following:

• Undertaking examination and inspection of rollingstock including brake testing of individual wagons.
• Controlling the movement of wagons within depot limits and carry out instructions concerning shunt movements and safe working.
• Undertaking shunting of wagons.
• Identifying faults, repair, service and maintain rollingstock.
• Carrying out repairs, component change out, servicing and modification to rollingstock
• Providing support functions for the maintenance of locomotives, rollingstock, ancillary vehicles, machines and equipment
• Providing material requirements to ensure safe and efficient running of rollingstock
• Operating fixed, mobile plant and signalling equipment
• Attending to depot and yard duties

About you:

• Demonstrated mechanical aptitude
• Unrestricted 'C' class Driver’s License
• Great attention to detail and problem-solving skills
• Sound verbal communication skills and the ability to work within a team environment
• Ability to manage multiple competing priorities
