About the role:

Aurizon is offering an exciting opportunity for a motivated individual to begin their career as a Trainee Storeperson based at our Pring depot in Bowen. Working alongside experienced team members on a 2 year contract, you’ll gain hands-on experience supporting the day-to-day operation of our depot store — ensuring materials and equipment are ready to keep our rollingstock running safely and efficiently.

• Learn and assist with routine inventory management, receiving, and dispatching stock.
• Help build, assemble, and supply maintenance kits and picks.
• Support internal and vendor stocktakes, including cycle counts.
• Assist with maintaining warehouse safety, security, and housekeeping standards.
• Learn to operate forklifts and other material handling equipment (training provided).
• Provide great customer service to internal stakeholders and contribute to a positive team environment.

About You

You’re someone who is eager to learn, takes pride in doing a job well, and values safety and teamwork. You’ll receive on-the-job training and mentoring to build your skills and knowledge in warehouse operations and materials management.

• A positive attitude, reliability, and willingness to learn new skills.
• Good communication and attention to detail.
• A National C Class Driver’s Licence (or working towards obtaining one).
• A commitment to safe work practices.
• Basic computer skills (Microsoft Outlook, Excel, Word).
