About the role: Aurizon is seeking a Senior Analyst to join our Procurement & Enterprise Services division on a 14-month fixed term contract. This role sits within the Performance team that is responsible for inventory analysis and reporting nationally and plays a pivotal part in driving data-driven insights, performance reporting and continuous improvement across the enterprise.
You’ll provide analytical and strategic support to help achieve enterprise objectives—partnering with leaders to deliver clear insights, manage performance data, and identify opportunities for improvement through robust analysis and forward-looking recommendations.
Key responsibilities
- Provide high-quality analytical support, advice, forecasting and coordination to drive performance and decision-making.
- Develop and maintain models, databases and reports that assess business performance and identify opportunities.
- Deliver timely, accurate and insightful performance reporting to internal and external stakeholders.
- Evaluate risks, develop recommendations, and communicate the impact of strategic options and business initiatives.
- Support process improvement and data integrity initiatives that enhance efficiency and business outcomes.
- Build strong relationships with key stakeholders, fostering collaboration and knowledge sharing across the business.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant policies, standards, and legislation.
You’re a results-oriented professional who combines technical capability with business acumen. You’ll bring:
- A relevant tertiary qualification (e.g. Supply Chain, Business, Commerce, Economics, Data Analytics).
- Advanced analytical and problem-solving skills with a strong command of analytical and database tools (e.g. SQL, Power BI, Excel, etc.).
- Demonstrated ability to interpret complex data, identify performance drivers, and influence outcomes.
- Strong communication and relationship management skills with the ability to influence at all levels.
- Proven project management and stakeholder engagement experience.
