About the Role:
Aurizon is Australia’s largest rail freight operator, and we’re proud to move what matters for communities and industries across the country. We’re seeking a highly capable Supply Contract Performance Lead to join our CQCN Supply Operations team, it’s an opportunity to influence critical commercial decisions and support the success of our Coal Operations.
Key responsibilities include:
- Lead and manage relationships with internal and external stakeholders to deliver strategic and commercial outcomes.
- Drive the development, review and administration of commercial contracts across the supply chain.
- Support tender processes including documentation, evaluations, proposals and contract award activities.
- Analyse, interpret and oversee contract documentation relating to invoices, variations, progress claims and performance.
- Identify and resolve contractual disputes with sound judgement and commercial insight.
- Develop and deliver comprehensive cyclical performance reporting for operational leaders.
- Translate operational needs into actionable commercial and contract requirements.
- Lead and mentor team members to build capability, collaboration and high performance.

To succeed in this role, you’ll bring:
- Proven leadership experience in commercial, supply chain or asset management environments.
- Strong understanding of supply chain logistics, operational safety and asset management impacts.
- High-level financial acumen with the ability to improve performance and deliver customer-focused outcomes.
- Exceptional communication, negotiation and relationship management skills.
- Ability to simplify complexity, influence outcomes and think strategically.
