About the role:
Join Aurizon’s Bulk Central training team and play a key role in shaping the capability of our frontline workforce across South Australia and the NT. As a Technical Trainer – Infrastructure, you’ll deliver engaging, high-quality training to ensure our employees are equipped with the technical skills, safety awareness and operational knowledge to perform their roles effectively.
You’ll work collaboratively with operational leaders and subject matter experts to deliver and assess competency-based training programs aligned to Aurizon’s standards, procedures and regulatory requirements.
Key responsibilities
- Deliver accredited and non-accredited training and assessment across Infrastructure disciplines.
- Coach and mentor employees to build capability and reinforce safety behaviours.
- Ensure training delivery and assessment meet internal and regulatory compliance requirements.
- Maintain accurate training records and documentation in line with Aurizon’s systems and processes.
- Partner with stakeholders to identify skills gaps and support continuous improvement in workforce capability.
To be successful, you’ll bring:
- Proven experience delivering technical or operational training within a rail, heavy industry or infrastructure environment.
- Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to tailor training to diverse audiences.
- Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (TAE40122 or equivalent).
- Commitment to safety, quality and continuous improvement.
- High-level organisational skills with the ability to manage competing priorities.
- Cert II & Cert III in rail infrastructure qualifications
- Applicable skill sets to rail infrastructure work
