About the roles
Aurizon is seeking motivated and organised Shift Coordinators and Terminal Coordinators to join our South Australian operations at Dry Creek and Gillman in Adelaide.
These roles play a critical part in keeping rail operations moving, combining hands‑on operational coordination with administrative and communication responsibilities. You’ll be the key point of contact during your shift—coordinating yard, terminal, and workforce activities, supporting train crews, and ensuring operations are delivered safely, efficiently, and in line with business requirements.
Both positions operate on a rotating 24/7 shift roster, including nights, weekends, and public holidays. Key responsibilities:

- Build and maintain strong, customer‑focused relationships with internal and external stakeholders
- Utilise operational systems to plan, allocate, and manage resources effectively
- Communicate clearly with internal teams, customers, and third‑party providers to keep operations on track
- Support administrative programs and operational initiatives across the site
About you:
You bring a safety‑first mindset, strong communication skills, and the ability to stay calm and organised in a dynamic operational environment. You’re adaptable, collaborative, and comfortable juggling multiple priorities while maintaining high standards.
You can demonstrate:
- Experience in a rail, transport logistics, heavy industrial, or similarly fast‑paced operational environment
- Willingness and ability to work a rotating 24/7 shift roster
- Clear and confident written and verbal communication skills
