Apprentice Tradesperson - Electrical

                                     Certificate III in Electrotechnology Electrician

Aurizon is seeking applications for Apprentice Tradesperson Electrician roles. This opportunity is ideal for individuals who are keen to learn a trade and build a long‑term career with Australia’s largest rail freight operator.

Qualification You Will Gain:

On successful completion of the apprenticeship, you will obtain:

Certificate III in Electrotechnology Electrician (UEE30820)

  • Be prepared to work a rotating shift roster (days, afternoons, and weekends)

Essential Requirements:

  • Certificate II in Electrotechnology (Career Start) (Electrotechnology Pre-apprenticeship)

or

  • School Leavers: Successful completion of OLNA or NAPLAN Year 9 with Band 8 results
  • Non‑School Leavers: Minimum C grades in Year 10 English and Mathematics, or equivalent
  • Qualifications: AQF Certificate I or Certificate II (or equivalent)
  • Hold a ‘C’ Class Driver Licence (mandatory)

Preferred (but not essential):

  • Demonstrated work experience in an industrial environment

or

  • part‑time employment while attending school
  • Completion of Year 12 (or equivalent)

Pre‑Employment Requirements:

Appointment to these roles is subject to successfully passing pre‑employment requirements, including:

  • Aptitude and/or psychometric testing
  • Reference checks
  • Medical assessment
