About the role: Take the lead in how major programs are costed and delivered. This role plays a pivotal part in shaping best practice estimating, providing trusted, client-facing advice, and setting the standards that drive quality, consistency, and confidence across Program Delivery. You will lead the technical direction of estimating, influence how programs are delivered, and establish the benchmarks, systems, and review processes that underpin high-quality, compliant, and credible estimates across the organisation

  • Provide technical leadership and oversight to maintain, enhance, and deploy estimating processes and systems across Program Delivery, including accountability for estimate quality standards.
  • Develop and steward benchmark and standard cost data, lead quality and peer reviews to ensure compliance and continuous improvement, and advise on and support the implementation of enhancements to estimating systems and practices
  • Support cost build-up and estimate development for Program Delivery, including projects and other estimating activities.
  • Engage with key stakeholders and clients to deliver high-quality estimating services for Program Delivery, with a strong focus on collaboration and continuous process improvement

About you: You bring strong technical credibility and practical experience in cost planning and estimating within complex infrastructure environments. With a qualification in Engineering, Construction Management, and/or Quantity Surveying.

  • Proven ability to manage key stakeholders and communicate effectively, working collaboratively while confidently leading technical initiatives and decisions.
  • Extensive experience in cost planning and estimating methodologies, with strong problem-solving skills and a focus on quality, consistency, and optimisation of work processes
