Mechanical Systems Fitter

About the role: We are currently seeking a skilled Mechanical Systems Fitter to join our team, ensuring that assets operated by the enterprise remain safe and continue to operate within safety and operational performance standards.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct routine and corrective maintenance on mechanical systems.
• Perform fault repairs in accordance with prescribed methods and best practices.
• Be available to travel to other districts within the CQCN to perform these duties.
• Be available for ongoing callout rosters.
• Ensure all work is performed in accordance with Workplace Health and Safety (WH&S) requirements and legislative policies.
• Ensure all work is performed in accordance with technical and operational specifications.
• Maintain all records and associated documentation relating to asset condition, maintenance programs, and costing systems.

About you:

•  Cert III Engineering (Mechanical) or equivalent.
•  Substantial level of skill in the repair, maintenance and overhaul of assets and associated components and similar equipment.
•  High level of knowledge of functions, defects and fault finding with equipment associated with assets and equipment.
•  Ample level of skill in interpreting technical instructions and drawings.
•  Substantial level of knowledge of relevant legislation, regulations and instructions including the Workplace Health and Safety Act.
•  Sound level of both computers, written and verbal communication skills.
