Aurizon is currently seeking a Locomotive Driver position in the Central Queensland team in Rockhampton. About the role:

• Master Roster line working which includes local, NCL and Western services. IML project work when required and QCL on occasion.
• Operation of locomotives including mainline, shunting, and marshalling
• Examine and certify trains as ready for departure
• Work in accordance with Aurizon's safety and operational standards and procedures
• Maintain a high level of on-time running
• Prepare and conduct brake testing on locomotives
• Provide high quality customer service to enable Aurizon to meet its set business objectives 

About you:

• A Certificate IV in Rail Operations.
• Must be available to work 24/7 shift roster.
• Experience in QLD Safeworking System and CQCN Route knowledge is advantageous but not essential.
• Extensive freight and/or heavy haulage locomotive driving experience.
• Able to work autonomously and adapt to part of a larger team across different business areas.
• Current unrestricted Class C drivers’ licence.
• Willing to learn ATP systems and develop regional network knowledge across Mackay, Maryborough and Emerald.
• Available for camp-based work, local yard duties and locomotive provisioning as required.
• Eager to learn, grow and contribute to a high-performing team culture.
