About the role: Are you someone who enjoys working with data, solving complex problems and influencing business decisions through meaningful insights?

Aurizon is seeking a Remuneration & Performance Adviser to join our People & Development team. In this role, you'll partner with leaders and stakeholders across the business to provide remuneration analysis, advice and support that helps attract, retain and reward our people.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to develop or deepen their expertise in remuneration, workforce insights and organisational effectiveness while working within a large, complex organisation.

Key responsibilities

  • Conduct role evaluations and support job classification activities.
  • Provide advice on role sizing, organisational design and workforce structures.
  • Interpret enterprise agreements, awards and remuneration frameworks.
  • Analyse remuneration data, market trends and internal workforce information to support decision-making.
  • Support remuneration reviews, benchmarking and pay equity assessments.
  • Develop insights and recommendations using data analysis and reporting.
  • Partner with leaders and People teams to provide remuneration advice and solutions.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement of remuneration processes, governance and frameworks.

What we're looking for

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Advanced Excel and data analysis capabilities.
  • A high level of attention to detail and accuracy.
  • The ability to interpret remuneration frameworks, awards and enterprise agreements.
  • Strong stakeholder engagement and communication skills.
  • Curiosity, commercial thinking and a passion for turning data into actionable insights.
  • Experience in remuneration, HR, finance or a related analytical discipline will be highly regarded
