What’s the role all about?
In this hands-on role, you’ll be responsible for keeping our high-speed production machinery running smoothly. Think cutting-edge equipment, a dynamic team, and the chance to really make a difference. You’ll be ensuring our cardboard box manufacturing operations continue to run like clockwork – with a focus on minimising downtime and maximising efficiency.
A day in the life…
- Diagnosing and repairing mechanical issues across a range of advanced fixed plant machinery.
- Carrying out preventive maintenance to avoid breakdowns – keeping things running safely and efficiently.
- Collaborating with production and quality teams to make sure everything runs smoothly, and we deliver top-quality products.
- Contributing to continuous improvement initiatives – we want to hear your ideas for making things better.
What we’re looking for:
- A fully qualified Mechanical Fitter or Fitter & Turner with an AUS recognised Certificate III in Engineering – Mechanical Trade (or equivalent).
- Experience working in fast-paced manufacturing environments – ideally with packaging machinery or similar.
- Exposure and understanding of hydraulic, pneumatic, and mechanical systems.
- A solid track record of troubleshooting and fault-finding in high-volume production settings.
- Proficiency in predictive, preventive & reactive maintenance and using CMMS systems.
- A strong commitment to safety – it’s our number one priority!
- Bonus points if you’ve got welding and fabrication skills, but it’s not essential.
- Confined space, EWP, Forklift and D-Class Electrical license an advantage but not essential
