The opportunity:

Based in Coolaroo, Victoria, the Site Manager, will be responsible for OHS&E of employees and visitors and demonstrating appropriate safety leadership behaviors.

The Role:

Reporting to the State Operations Manager, your key outcomes will be to;

  • Management of employee relations as they arise to achieve satisfactory outcome for all involved.
  • Achieving operational EBITDA in line with KPI’s and budget.
  • Generating action plans and driving improvement programs to improve plant efficiencies that are transparent and deliver required results.
  • Setting direction and providing mentoring & coaching to the leadership team.
  • Ongoing tracking & management of the business to budget.
  • Continuously driving cost reduction programs within the business and ensuring lowest costs
  • Ensuring internal and external customer relationships and being maintained by assisting in resolving issues as they arise.
  • Management of the MRP for supply, usage and future planning of stock control.
  • Ensure OHS KPI’s are conducted as per business requirements.
  • Responsible for demonstrating, encouraging and building a safety and environmental plant culture.
  • Maintain operational wages and salary in line with KPI’s and budget.
  • Develop daily and monthly KPI’s to track progress
  • Manage business using LEAN methodology.
  • Involvement in recruitment process if required to ensure the right people are engaged in the business
  • Provide leadership, direction and support to your team to ensure resources and skills are available to achieve desired budgeted results.
  • Ensure appropriate compliance audits are conducted and issues arising from these audits to be rectified in a timely manner and documented.

  • Work Experience managing a team in a process manufacturing environment
  • Mechanical aptitude and strong problem solving skills.
  • Strong communication skills.
  • Ability to manage meetings.

  • Experience managing employee performance.
