The opportunity:
Visy Retail Services is a leading supplier & distributor of major brand hardware & retail products throughout Australia, New Zealand and the United Kingdom.
We are looking for a Team Leader to lead our afternoon shift. You will join our team of around 20 working from our modern, purpose-built facility located in Dandenong South.
Supporting our Distribution Supervisor and Distribution Centre Manager, you will play a pivotal role, ensuring the efficiency, safety, and compliance of our newly introduced afternoon shift. If you are ready to step into an entry level leadership role with great pathways to supervisory and managerial positions, then this is the role for you.
The Role:
- Engage in, and monitor, daily activities including receiving, replenishment, pick-pack and dispatch.
- Partake and lead toolbox talks and team briefings
- Strong adherence to company Standard Operating Procedures and safety policies
- Improving your team's performance via targeted training and personal development
- Support the DC Supervisor & DC Manager to identify and implement operational efficiencies.
What you will bring to the team:
- Experience in warehouse operations, particularly in pick-packing and dispatch functions
- A current Forklift and High Reach license, with experience and proficiency operating both
- The ability to autonomously lead our afternoon shift operations
- Enthusiasm and self-discipline
- Willingness to undergo first aid qualification training (previous experience not mandatory).
