The opportunity:
We are currently recruiting Quality Control Operator to join our team in Visy Food Can, Coburg. This is a full-time permanent position, working on our 12-hour night shift roster. As a Quality Control Operator, you will be responsible for operating machinery to meet agreed production, service and quality standards. Reporting to the Production Manager your key responsibilities will include:
- Operating machinery to produce quality food can packaging as per required specifications.
- Perform quality inspection checks to ensure the best quality product is produced to meet the requirements of our customers.
- Maintain accurate production and quality records.
- Minimise spoilage levels by identifying process improvements and production issues.
- Maintain and ensure all Health and Safety policies and procedures are adhered to at all times.
What you will bring to the team:
As our new Quality Control Operator, you will have previous machine operating experience within a fast-paced manufacturing environment. You will be a reliable team player, with a strong work ethic. You have good communication skills and processes a strong focus on Health, Safety and Environmental practices. Along with the following:
- Ability to work a 12-hour night shift roster.
- Proven ability to work in a physically demanding and fast paced environment.
- The ability to work under pressure and display a good eye for detail particularly in quality control.
- Quality experience in metal or allied industry would be highly desirable.
- Forklift licence preferred but not essential.
