Role Details:
Reporting to the Shift Supervisor, this role is based at our Glass Recycling facility based in Crestmead with the view to move to new state-of-the-art plant under construction in Yatala.
We are seeking a dedicated Plant Operator to join our established team at the Crestmead Glass Recycling facility. This role involves working 12-hour shifts from 6pm to 6am on a rostered pattern, offering an excellent work-life balance and competitive remuneration.
Our Crestmead facility processes container deposit scheme glass and recovered glass from the commingled recycling process, producing furnace-ready cullet for our glass manufacturing facility in West End.
What you'll do:
- Monitor clean-up line operations and address any issues promptly.
- Oversee the optical glass sorting line.
- Operate powered mobile equipment.
- Conduct quality control checks.
What You Will Bring:
- Experience with both mobile and fixed plant equipment, ideally in manufacturing, recycling, or heavy industry.
- Strong safety focus, fit and healthy to carry out physical, manual handling tasks.
- Unwavering ability to work in a recycling, glass work environment & patience to regularly maintain a clean your direct work environment
