Role Details
Visy Plastics Ingleburn site is now seeking a Planning Coordinator to join our production team and play a key role in ensuring smooth and efficient Operations.
As a Planning Coordinator, you will be responsible for scheduling production activities, optimizing workflows, and coordinating with various departments to meet business goals. Reporting to the Planning and Customer Service Manager you will be part of small team however liaising and collaborating with the wider business including customer service, production, warehouse, quality, maintenance and other sites where required in order to provide the best solution to ensure we stay that one step ahead!
What You’ll Do
- Develop and manage weekly, monthly, and annual forecasts based on customer trends.
- Create fixed weekly production and rough-cut monthly schedules, ensuring alignment with customer needs and plant constraints.
- Optimize inventory management, and site capacity planning.
- Build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders to support seamless operations.
- Initiate investigations/resolution to slow moving stock and implement procedures to reduce instances/better manage these situations.
- Plan and forecast to ensure adequate stock levels are maintained/replenished at all times to optimise machine/labour utilisation.
What You’ll Bring
- Minimum of 2 years' experience in production planning preferably in a fast-paced manufacturing/production industry.
- Technically savvy with solid excel computer skills (desirable ERP systems and SAP advantageous.
- A positive attitude and a drive to succeed in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to work collaboratively with different departments
- Strong organisational and problem-solving skills
