About the Role
We’re seeking a skilled Fitter Operator to join our Moorabbin Plastics Plant. This is a full-time permanent role on a rotating shift.
- 12-hour shifts, Day - 6am – 6pm and Night - 6pm – 6am.
- 2 days, 2 nights and 4 days off.
- 20% shift loading applies to all hours, weekends and PH as part of rostered hours.
- All additional hours outside roster banked at overtime rate.
Reporting to the Production Manager, you’ll play a vital role in keeping our plant running smoothly and safely.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform preventative and breakdown maintenance on production machinery.
- Operating a production line to ensure minimal downtime.
- Set up and fine tuning of machines for optimal productivity.
- Work with high-speed manufacturing equipment, understanding production demands.
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives and lean manufacturing.
What You’ll Bring
- Mechanical Fitter trade qualification or similar trade with maintenance fitting experience.
- Disconnect Reconnect licence beneficial.
- Strong experience in preventative and breakdown maintenance in manufacturing environments.
- Willingness to operate a production line and work with production team.
- Passion for your trade and commitment to improvements.
- A proactive attitude and commitment to safety.
