The Opportunity
Based in Campbellfield, you will be reporting to the Technical Manager, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the optimal performance and longevity of our Visy Technology Systems through servicing the machines in a timely and professional manner. The role requires the individual to identify the most suited approach in resolving customer issues and generating quotations whilst considering the most economical way of delivering a workable solution for the customer.
Key responsibilities:
- Conducting routine maintenance checks and inspections on Visy Technology Systems.
- Performing preventive maintenance to identify and address potential issues before they escalate.
- Troubleshooting and diagnosing technical problems, implementing effective solutions to minimize downtime.
- Ensuring all parts (to machine specifications) are ordered and are in stock locally to machine specification prior to service commencing.
- Make efficiency and maintenance modification recommendations pre- and post-installation (or as required) to continually improve on reliability and performance of Visy Technology Systems equipment.
- Documenting all maintenance activities, including repairs, replacements, and inspections.
- Maintaining accurate records of service visits, parts used, and time spent on each assignment.
- Providing on-site training to clients on proper equipment usage, maintenance procedure and safety.
- Adhering to safety protocols and ensuring a safe working environment for yourself and others.
What you will bring to the team:
- High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification or trade certificate preferred.
- Minimum of 5+ years’ (post trade) experience in the Manufacturing or similar Industry.
- Proven experience as a Field Service Technician, with a focus on maintenance.
- Experience in programming and troubleshooting robots is advantageous
- Strong mechanical and electrical/electronic troubleshooting skills.
- Excellent problem-solving skills & highly demonstrated verbal reasoning
- Familiarity with Visy’s Technology Systems and/or related technologies.
- Excellent communication and time management skills.
- Drive, tenacity, innovation (creative) and “can do” attitude
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
- Thrives in a diverse, dynamic and fast paced work environment
- Computer literacy includes MS Excel, MS Word, and PowerPoint (other applications desirable)
- Able to delegate and influence
- Willingness to travel to client sites as needed.
- Valid driver's license and clean driving record.
- Able to work flexible hours to meet requirements.
