The opportunity:
We are currently recruiting an experienced Forklift Driver to join our team based in Visy Board, Wiri. This is a permanent full-time position working minimum 40 hours per week, on the afternoon shift (3.30pm start). Reporting to the Shift Supervisor, key responsibilities will include, but not be limited to:
- Operate forklift in accordance with site safety standards and procedures.
- Loading machines with raw materials and movement of finished goods from production lines to designated areas.
- Picking, stacking, and staging of product for load building.
- Use of electronic inventory management tools such as scanners and tablets.
What you will bring to the team:
As our new Forklift Operator, you will have previous experience operating forklifts and machinery within a fast-paced manufacturing environment. You will be a reliable team player, with a strong work ethic. You have good communication skills and process a strong focus on Health, Safety and Environmental practices. Along with the following:
- Ability to work an 8-12 hour shift depending on needs of the business.
- Experience operating a fork hoist and a valid forklift licence is essential.
- Completion of Forklift Attachment Training is highly desirable.
- Proven ability to work in a physically demanding and fast paced environment.
- The ability to work under pressure and display a good eye for detail particularly in quality control.
