The opportunity:
In a full time permanent role, working as a Process Worker at Visy Board Dandenong, and reporting to the Shift manager you will work on a rotating shift of 2 weeks on day shift (6am start) and 2 weeks on afternoon shift (4.30pm start).
You will:
- Operate machinery to meet production, service, and quality standards for the manufacture of cardboard packaging.
- Feed product into the converting machines and arranging product at the machine discharge points.
- Stack products onto palettes for further processing ensuring all board stacked are neat and stable.
- Assist in machine setup, dismantling and job changes tasks for a production run.
- Perform quality inspection checks and other procedural checks to ensure the best quality is delivered to our customers
- Maintain safe work and operating practices, and a high level of housekeeping at all times.
What you will bring to the team:
As our new Process Worker, you will have:
- Minimum of 2 years previous experience operating machinery within a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
- Experience with corrugated cardboard packaging, will be highly desirable.
- Ability to work 8 - 12 hours shifts on a rotating roster – 2 weeks of days- 2 weeks of afternoon.
- Proven ability to work in a physically demanding and fast paced environment.
- The ability to work under pressure and display a good eye for detail particularly in quality control. You will be a reliable team player with a strong work ethic, have good communication skills and process a strong focus on Health, Safety and Environmental practices.
