About the Role
We’re seeking a skilled Maintenance Electrician to join our Coolaroo Pulp & Paper Plant. This is a full-time permanent role on a rotating roster, working 146 days in the year.
- 12-hour shifts, from 6am – 6pm and 6pm – 6am
- 2 Days, 2 Nights, 4 days off - every 7 rotations then have 2 weeks off
- Annual leave is built into the roster
- Overtime available paid at penalty rates
Reporting to the Victorian - E, I and C Reliability Manager, you’ll play a vital role in keeping our plant running smoothly and safely.
Key Responsibilities
- Completing preventative maintenance tasks on electrical and instrumentation components
- Attending breakdowns and faults, working with production and engineering to resolve them
- PLC troubleshooting and diagnostics (Siemens, Allen Bradley)
- VSD and AC / DC drives fault finding, installation & upgrades
- Instrumentation adjustments – including pressure sensors, flow sensors and valves
- Repair and maintenance on pumps, motors, sensors and switchgear across the site
- Diagnose and fix problems with components, wiring and equipment throughout the plant
- Proactive approach in reporting and identifying hazards
What You’ll Bring
- A grade Electrical trade qualification with instrumentation knowledge ideal
- Strong experience in preventative and breakdown maintenance in heavy manufacturing environments
- Skills in PLC troubleshooting, VSD and AC / DC Drives installation and maintenance and automation diagnostics, fault finding and control systems
- HV Switching, FL and EWP tickets / experience is bonus, but we can facilitate
- Working alongside production and engineering team to resolve issues
- A proactive attitude and a commitment to safety
