Reliability Planner

If you’re a hands-on reliability or maintenance planner, with a mechanical background, who enjoys solving problems, working closely with production and seeing the direct results of your work on the floor, this is a role where you’ll genuinely make your mark.

 

At Visy, reliability matters. You’ll be working in a complex paper manufacturing environment where your planning, judgement and collaboration directly influence machine availability, safety outcomes and production performance.

 

You won’t be starting from scratch – you’ll step into:

  • A well-established CMMS
  • A highly experienced maintenance and engineering team
  • A site where your voice is heard, and continuous improvement is encouraged


Your work will be visible, valued and critical to keeping the plant running safely and efficiently.

 

What you'll do:

  • Plan and schedule weekly preventative maintenance, major shutdowns and improvement work
  • Analyse maintenance and asset data to identify reliability risks and improvement opportunities
  • Work closely with production teams to coordinate maintenance activities
  • Lead and coordinate maintenance contractors to ensure safe, high-quality outcomes
  • Manage spare parts, repairs and maintenance planning to support cost control
  • Support short- and medium- term reliability strategies to improve machine runability
  • Champion health, safety and environmental standards across all maintenance activities

 

What You Will Bring: 

  • A mechanical engineering qualification, trade background, or solid maintenance planning experience
  • Experience in pulp and paper or another heavy industrial / 24 – 7 manufacturing environments
  • Strong planning, problem solving and organisation skills
  • Confidence working with production, engineering and contractor teams
  • Comfort using CMMS, SAP or similar ERP systems, plus Microsoft
  • A practical ‘no job too small’ mindset and willingness to lead by example
  • Flexibility to participate in an on-call roster
