Role details:
We’re seeking skilled Machine Operators to join our Stapylton Cans Plant. This is a full-time permanent role on a rotating roster, with overtime available.
- 12-hour shifts, Day - 6am – 6pm and Night - 6pm – 6am.
- Week 1 – 4 x Night shifts, Week 2 – 3 x Day shifts, 3 x Night shifts, Week 3 – 4 x Day shifts, Week 4 – no shifts
- Weekends and Public Holidays as part of roster paid at penalty rates.
What you’ll do:
Reporting to the Manufacturing Manager, you’ll play a vital role in keeping our plant running smoothly and safely.
- Operate printing and decorating machinery to meet production, service, and quality standards for the manufacture of beverage cans.
- Troubleshooting and dealing with production issues, alongside maintenance team.
- Assist in decorating, coating and palletising machine setups, dismantling and job changeovers tasks for a production run.
- Perform quality inspection checks and other procedural checks to ensure the best quality is delivered to our customers.
- Maintain safe work and operating practices, and a high level of housekeeping.
What you’ll bring:
- Experience within printing or can decorating industry.
- Previous operations experience in a manufacturing or FMCG environment.
- Proven ability to work in a physically demanding and fast paced environment.
- The ability to work under pressure and display a good eye for detail particularly in quality control.
- Continuous improvement mindset and willingness to learn.
