Role details:
We’re looking for a passionate and hands-on Logistics Team Lead to join our team at the Shepparton Cans Plant. This is a full-time, permanent role on a 7am – 3pm day shift, where you will have the opportunity to make a difference and grow within your role in the business.
Reporting to the Logistics Coordinator, you’ll play a vital role in keeping our warehouse running smoothly, safely and to the highest quality standards.
What you’ll do:
- Coordinate daily warehouse operations, including loading and unloading trucks, and stock movements based on production demand.
- Plan and schedule product transfers between the manufacturing facility and the offsite warehouse and customers
- Act as the first point of contact for truck drivers arriving on site, ensuring smooth communication and traffic flow.
- Work closely with internal and external transport partners to support efficient freight movement.
- Manage the flow of goods to customers and the offsite warehouse in a fast‑paced environment.
- Provide operational updates to the Logistics Coordinator and collaborate with the warehouse team.
- Oversee onsite WHS and drive continuous improvement across safety, quality and compliance.
What you’ll bring:
- Strong experience in warehousing or logistics, ideally in a fast-paced FMCG environment.
- Certificate III or IV in Warehousing, Logistics, or Supply Chain (preferred).
- Leadership or supervisory experience, with the confidence to guide a small team in daily operations.
- Forklift licence is essential; HR truck licence is highly desirable.
- Strong capability in scheduling, planning, and coordinating warehouse movements.
- Comfortable communicating with truck drivers, transport partners, and offsite stakeholders.
- Ability to work in a fast‑paced manufacturing environment with multiple daily freight movements.
- Solid understanding of warehouse safety, compliance, and efficient workflow practices.
- Strong communication, problem‑solving, and organisational skills.
