What does this role involve?

Our Kitchen Steward Supervisor will be responsible for supervising, training, and coordinating Kitchen Attendants across multiple food and beverage outlets at Wrest Point. Working alongside Kitchen Attendants on a daily basis, the aim is to always ensure a clean and well-maintained environment.

Duties will include, but not limited to;

  • Coordinate Kitchen Attendants team and work across a busy 7 day per week roster
  • Coordinate with Executive Chef’s and Shift Supervisor’s for work requirements
  • Ensure all products and chemicals are appropriately used in line with industry standards
  • Ensure staff adhere to proper work health and safety expectations.
  • Help assess, coach and manage Kitchen Attendants to ensure efficiencies of the team
  • Oversee kitchen deliveries, stock rotation and support the food safety program
  • Ordering cleaning chemicals and kitchen cleaning consumables
  • Rostering, recruiting and managing staff needs

What will you bring to the team?

  • Proven experience in a supervisory role in a kitchen environment
  • Strong leadership and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to follow and enforce kitchen operations and sanitation practices to a high standard across a team
  • Excellent organisational and time management skills
  • A current driver's licence is desirable
  • Unlimited work rights in Australia
