Saffire Freycinet is seeking a passionate Junior Sous Chef to join our award-winning culinary team. In this role, you’ll collaborate closely with our Sous and Executive Chefs to deliver exceptional dining experiences and ensure Saffire remains at the forefront of Australian cuisine.

This is a rare opportunity to craft bespoke gourmet moments for a select number of guests, using world-class Tasmanian produce across breakfast, lunch, and dinner. You’ll have the freedom to create, innovate, and contribute to unforgettable experiences in one of Australia’s most iconic luxury lodges.

You’ll be supported by a team of highly skilled chefs and a values-driven, principle-led culture, knowing that your work helps create memories that last a lifetime.

Your key responsibilities will be to:  

• Inspire and lead the kitchen team alongside the Head Chef and Sous Chef to deliver premium dining experiences
• Oversee food preparation and execution for the restaurant
• Champion a positive, respectful, and performance-driven kitchen culture
• Assist with seasonal menu changes that showcase the best of Tasmanian produce
• Ensure compliance with food safety standards and Federal Group’s ethical principles
• Collaborate with front-of-house team to ensure seamless service

To be considered for this unique opportunity, we’re looking for: 

• Previous experience in a Luxury Lodge environment or similar 
• Flexibility and reliability to work across a variety of shifts 
• Desire to learn, develop and continuously grow
