The Role & The Team
Aviation Communications Specialists are a vital voice link connecting International and Domestic aircraft to Air Traffic Control. ACS staff utilise several systems, including high frequency (HF) radio transmissions, to relay information in the demanding 24/7 environment of air traffic operations.
Reporting to the line leader, you will apply nationally standardised methods, practices, and procedures to proficiently deliver a consistent and high quality ‘third party’ relay service and ‘on request’ flight information service.

The Person
The successful applicant will have:
- Exceptional communication skills, with both a strong team focus and the ability to work autonomously
- Demonstrated ability to deliver results and meet customer expectations whilst adhering to and demonstrating supportive principles and values
- Demonstrated ability to analyse time-critical situations
- Ability to make the most appropriate decision within the parameters of established procedures
- Confidence and capability of utilising a range of technologies
- Previous experience in aviation or operations environment is highly desirable
