Summary

Airservices Australia is undergoing a bold transformation to meet the evolving needs of the aviation industry. Over the next decade, our services, systems, and processes will be reshaped to support a safer, more efficient airspace. At the heart of this change is the Enterprise Portfolio Management Office (EPMO)—a centre of excellence supporting the delivery of high-value, high-risk programs such as Western Sydney International Airport (WSIA) and OneSKY.

We’re seeking a seasoned leader in project controls and scheduling to take on a critical role in driving structure, discipline, and strategic insight across our transformation portfolio.

What You’ll Do

  • Lead a specialised team of master schedulers and project controllers.
  • Establish and govern Integrated Master Schedules (IMS) for complex, multi-stakeholder programs.
  • Drive scope, change, and dependency management across portfolios.
  • Collaborate with internal teams, external consultants, and vendors to ensure delivery excellence.
  • Provide strategic insights and data-driven reporting to senior leadership.
  • Champion a control mindset across the organisation, uplifting capability and consistency in project delivery.

What You Must Bring

  • Extensive hands-on experience in project control and scheduling is essential. This is not a general project management role—deep expertise in control disciplines is a must.
  • Tertiary qualifications in project management, engineering, or a related field.
  • Minimum 7 years in program controls, scheduling, or integration leadership roles.
  • Proven ability to develop and manage Integrated Master Schedules (IMS) in complex environments.
  • Proficiency in Earned Value Management (EVM), control frameworks, and dependency management.
  • Familiarity with PMBoK, Agile PM, MSP methodologies.
  • Professional accreditation (e.g., PMI-SP, AACE PSPS) is highly regarded.
  • Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
  • Analytical capability to deliver meaningful insights.
