The Role & The Team
Reporting to the WS/CB DAS Training & Transition Senior Advisor, you will design and deliver high-quality competency-based training programs to support the rollout of Digital Aerodrome Services (DAS) at the new Western Sydney International Airport (WSIA). This is a unique opportunity to contribute to a transformative aviation project, ensuring the successful training and transition of Air Traffic Control and Technical teams.
In this role, you will:
- Collaborate with subject matter experts and project stakeholders to identify training needs
- Develop courseware, training plans, and evaluation frameworks
- Support operational readiness and regulatory compliance (CASA and Airservices standards)
- Contribute to safety certification and operational documentation
- Contribute to internal audits, performance reports, and continuous improvement initiatives
- Monitor training effectiveness and apply governance frameworks
You’ll work closely with a collaborative and multidisciplinary change program team, who operate in a fast-paced, project driven environment, focusing on innovation, safety and regulatory compliance.
Please note, this role is offered as a 12-month fixed-term position, where occasional travel may be required.

The Person
We’re looking for a proactive and experienced training professional with a strong background in aviation or a similar highly regulated environment. You’ll be someone who thrives in complex, fast-paced environments and is passionate about delivering high-quality, competency-based training. You should be confident working across technical and operational domains, with excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
The successful applicant will have:
- Minimum 3 years’ experience in aviation, training management or coordination
- Strong knowledge of Civil Aviation Safety Regulations (CASR Parts 65, 171, 172)
- Expertise in adult learning principles and competency-based training
- Excellent stakeholder engagement, communication, and project coordination skills
- Relevant diploma or higher qualification in Aviation, Engineering, Education, or related field
- Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (desirable)
