The Opportunity

CITIC Pacific Mining is seeking an experienced Crane Operator to join our Site Support Services team. This is a permanent 2/1 roster FIFO from Perth.

Reporting to the Supervisor – Site Support Services, this role is responsible for operating variety of mobile cranes and equipment across the Cape Preston Site.

In this role you’ll be responsible for:

• Safe and successful operation of mobile cranes
• Determine the type of lifting equipment required for a particular task and work closely with riggers and maintenance crews to ensure the lift is carried out in a safe and time efficient manner.
• Minor maintenance on cranes
• Rigging duties as required
• Updating relevant registers

Successful applicant will have:

• Minimum 5 years’ experience in mining/resources sector with mobile cranes.
• Knowledge of Australian Standards for Crane and Rigging industry.
• Current WA HC or MC Drivers Licence
• Valid C0 – Open Crane Ticket
• Intermediate Riggers Tickets
• EWP, Confined Space and W@H tickets.
• Maritime Security Identification Card (MSIC) or ability to obtain.
• High level of commitment to safety and safe work practice.
• Able to work safely at heights and within confined spaces.
• You will have good communication skills, be flexible and able to work as part of a tight knit team.
