The Opportunity

We’re seeking a driven Advisor -Training Compliance to support our site training team based at our Cape Preston operation. This permanent full-time role is on an 8 days on, 6 days off FIFO roster from Perth to our site.

Reporting to the Supervisor - Site Training, the primary purpose of this position is to deliver and assess compliance and technical training programs within the Training Department.

 

In this role you’ll be responsible for:

  •  Performing on-site training, assessment, verification of competence, mentoring, etc. to CPM employees and Contractors in accordance with company and legislative standards
  • Support business areas in meeting their compliance objectives and ensure that training and assessment are conducted in accordance with the Training Management Framework, CPM policies and procedures, and other relevant legislative authorities.
  • Deliver training and assessment against the relevant requirements of the Australian Qualifications Training Framework (AQTF)
  • Deliver and provide processes for the ongoing tracking and reporting of compliance.
  • Partner closely with all Business Areas to ensure all training and development is prioritised appropriately and has alignment with business goals and objectives.
  • Provide oversight, guidance, and advice to the leadership team on compliance and standards.
  • Participate in special projects and perform other duties as assigned.

 

Successful applicant will have:

  •  TAE40122 Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (or TAE40116 Certificate IV in Training and Assessment with additional units of competencies, TAEASS502 Design and develop assessment tools and TAELLN411 Address adult language literacy and numeracy skills.)
  • Extensive experience working in Resource sectors and Learning & Development roles.
  • Demonstrated experience in leading large-scale training initiatives in a technical and high-risk training environment.
  • Experience working with employees and business areas required to maintain legislative compliance relating to Technical and High Risk Work Licence competency.
  • Experience in performing verification of competence assessments.
  • Skills and knowledge in working with Vocational Education qualifications.
  • National Qualifications - Working at Heights, Working in Confined Space and Gas Testing, LV Rescue with a minimum of five years industry related experience. Desirable
  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, SuccessFactors LMS and Power BI would be beneficial.
  • A current WA Manual Drivers licence is an essential requirement. High Risk Work Licences would be beneficial.
