Are you an experienced Occupational Hygiene Specialist? Join the Health and Safety team here at Cape Preston and work with a dedicated group of Health and Safety professionals with a passion for providing a safe workplace for employees, contracting partners and visitors? CITIC Pacifc Mining Health & Safety team is close knit team of safety professionals who provide advice, assistance, guidance and support to all personnel on health and safety issues relevant to the Sino Iron Project.
In this role you’ll be responsible for developing, implementing and monitoring/reporting on the compliance of operational controls – designed to reduce risk to human health.
You will fulfil the duties of Mine Air Quality Officer and Noise Officer and also conduct project work. You will also act as SME for risk assessments. In addition you will audit and improve system gaps, mentor site leadership, OHA’s and be willing to cover the Principal Hygienist duties during times of absence.
Successful applicant:
- Degree qualified (in occupational hygiene, health, chemistry, engineering or similar
- Minimum of 5 years mining/resource industry experience
- Certificate IV in Work Health & Safety
- Technical and practical skills in Occupational Hygiene with demonstrated experience in developing and implementing exposure reduction strategies
- Demonstrated ability to engage and influence multiple stakeholders
- Knowledge of WA mining health and safety regulations
- Current “C” Class manual driver’s licence.
