The opportunity

CITIC Pacific Mining is seeking an experienced Accounts Payable Officer to join our Perth Corporate Finance team. If you are looking for a foot in the door to the mining industry, this could be the role for you.

Reporting to the Accounts Payable Supervisor, you will support the Finance team by ensuring invoices, payments and vendor accounts are processed accurately and efficiently in a high-volume environment.

We are looking for a detail-oriented Accounts Payable professional who takes pride in delivering accurate work and providing excellent service to internal and external stakeholders.

About you

• Proven experience in high-volume accounts payable (resources industry experience advantageous but not essential)
• Strong SAP experience within an accounts payable environment
• Advanced computer skills, including the Microsoft Office suite
• High attention to detail with strong reconciliation and problem-solving skills
• Ability to manage competing priorities and work both independently and as part of a team
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Mandarin language skills would be advantageous
• Current WA Driver’s Licence

Key responsibilities

• Process invoices and credit notes in AUD and foreign currencies against Purchase Orders and Service Entries in SAP
• Assist with vendor, foreign currency and employee expense payments
• Investigate and resolve invoice or processing discrepancies promptly
• Perform monthly vendor reconciliations
• Provide responsive support to vendor and internal payment queries
• Generate supplier payments (EFT and TT), ensuring appropriate checks and payment controls are followed
• Contribute to ad-hoc projects and continuous improvement initiatives
• Provide general administration support including reporting, filing and archiving
