An opportunity is available for an experienced Leading Hand – Production Support to join our Mining team, supporting operations across PS4 and TSF4.

Reporting to the Supervisor – Production Coordination, you’ll provide frontline leadership and support to ensure production activities are completed safely, efficiently and in line with plans and designs.

About the role

You’ll be responsible for:

• Supporting the execution of daily production plans.
• Coordinating and allocating tasks across the crew.
• Monitoring work areas against MineStar designs and operational requirements.
• Ensuring safe work practices, area controls, signage and lighting are maintained.
• Monitoring equipment utilisation, delays, job codes and operational issues.
• Communicating changes, risks and issues with Mine Control and Production Coordination.
• Supporting drill pattern preparation, TSF activities and other production support works.
• Coaching and mentoring operators to build capability and maintain operational standards.
• Supporting emergency response, fitness-for-work processes and incident reporting.
• Working closely with Mining Supervision, Engineering, Planning and contractors to keep the plan moving.

About you

We’re looking for someone who has:

• 4+ years' experience in open cut mining.
• Strong knowledge of production mining and auxiliary operations.
• Demonstrated leadership and communication skills.
• The ability to work independently and make sound decisions in the field.
• Experience working to designs, plans and MineStar requirements.
• A strong focus on safety, productivity and developing others.
• Good computer and fleet management system skills.
