About Us

The External Relations, Development and Alumni portfolio (ERDA) works collaboratively across the University to initiate, grow and steward strong person to person relationships with key stakeholders that support Monash University’s research and education endeavours. This work delivers outcomes that significantly enhance the University’s profile and resources.

The Opportunity

We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Senior Manager with experience managing a comprehensive donor relation and stewardship program. You will oversee the strategic direction and delivery of a high level, institution wide donor relationship program that fosters positive relations with the University’s donors. Some of your key duties will include but not be limited to:

  • Leading a team of professionals in the delivery of stewardship programs, gift confirmation and gift processing
  • Proactively managing key donor relationships ensuring positive engagement is further harnessed
  • Developing innovative ways of engaging donors to ensure long term relationships are maintained
  • Liaising with a range of University Faculties and portfolios to ensure due diligence is being followed at all times
  • Managing the Gifts Processing team ensuring relevant policies and procedures are adhered to
  • Effectively promote awareness of the program and philanthropy across the University 

About YOU!

To be successfully considered for this role, you will have demonstrated experience in a similar role where you have successfully managed key donor relationships including ensuring operational processes and systems are followed. You will have the ability to lead and motivate a team of high-performing employees in supporting the University's philanthropy, and pride yourself on your creativity to build exceptional relationships with prospective and current donors and benefactors. You will have demonstrated knowledge in legislation and governance relating to the donor process within a large complex organisation.
