The Opportunity
Consistently recognised as one of the world’s leading Law schools, the Faculty of Law seeks a high-performing Manager, Research Services to support and grow the research portfolio through a high level of planning and management activity, while developing and maintaining relationships of strategic importance. This role is integral to the Faculty, functioning as a strategic contributor to its industry engagement, relationship management and the development of commercial agreements.
As the Manager, Research Services, you will be a key conduit between researchers and the University, linking programs to business development and funding bodies.
Reporting to the General Manager and working closely with the Associate Dean (Research), you will be responsible for identifying and driving potential funding opportunities. You will lead major projects including applying research methodologies, reporting, data analysis and interpretation, whilst ensuring strong budget management for the research portfolio. You will oversee functional areas for research centres, research impact and engagement and graduate research.
Ideally coming from a background managing networks or leading teams within research bodies, university, industry and government authorities, you will have postgraduate qualifications in a relevant discipline or equivalent qualifications and/or experience. You will have proven experience in operational management and business development, including project management, research strategy, business processes and uplifting research performance.
Having proven your ability to build strengthened relationships, and influence and negotiate effectively, your strong communication skills will enable you to make a difference. If your passion lies in driving partnerships, collaborations and networks, then this could be the role for you.
