The Opportunity
The Monash Alfred Baker Centre for Cardiology Research (MAB) is seeking a dedicated Senior Project Officer to ensure the seamless delivery of initiatives within our cutting-edge cardiovascular research partnership.
In this pivotal role, you will work closely with the MAB Centre Directors, project teams, and stakeholders across the university and external client groups. Your expertise will support the coordination of key projects, events, and deliverables, enabling us to advance our mission of improving cardiovascular health through innovative research.
What You’ll Do
- Coordinate Projects: Plan and oversee end-to-end project activities, monitor timelines, budgets, and KPIs, and ensure alignment with the Centre’s strategic goals
- Liaison and Communication: Act as a central liaison between the Centre, its partners, and stakeholders, ensuring effective communication through newsletters, reports, and updates
- Support Centre Operations: Develop documentation, track performance metrics, and manage meeting schedules and events
- Drive Excellence: Provide timely advice, solve complex coordination issues, and prepare materials for meetings, presentations, and reports
- Build Relationships: Foster strong connections with internal and external partners to enhance collaboration and project outcomes
What You’ll Bring
- A degree in a relevant field or equivalent experience in technical or administrative management
- Demonstrated success in project management, meeting deadlines, and delivering high-quality results
- Strong organizational and planning skills with the ability to prioritize and allocate resources effectively
- Exceptional interpersonal, communication, and relationship management skills
- Advanced analytical and problem-solving abilities to address challenges creatively
- Proficiency in project management tools and technology
