About the Role
The Department of Medical Imaging & Radiation Sciences within the Faculty of Medicine, Nursing and Health Sciences at Monash University is excited to be recruiting two roles for our team as follows:
- 0.8 (part-time) ongoing role - Lecturer (Level B)/Senior Lecturer (Level C) role that will be responsible for coordinating and teaching into the Bachelor of Radiation Sciences and the Master of Radiation Therapy physics units
- 0.6 (part-time) ongoing role - Lecturer (Level B)/Senior Lecturer (Level C) role focussed on teaching into the Master of Medical Ultrasound and sonography teaching of the Bachelor of Radiography and Medical Imaging (Hons)
These roles offer the opportunity to design, deliver and evaluate a range of innovative teaching activities including lectures, tutorials, workshops and online courses aimed at engaging students and achieving transformative learning outcomes.
About You
We are seeking two educators with a passion for creating flexible student-centred learning experiences that integrate cutting-edge teaching and learning technologies. Your expertise in curriculum development, assessment design and constructive feedback will help ensure our programs meet the highest standards of academic excellence and industry relevance. In this role, you will also contribute to the ongoing development and administration of units working collaboratively within a supportive academic team to deliver an exceptional education experience.
For position 1, the ideal candidate will have a PhD in Science or Physics complemented by an undergraduate qualification in physics. Your substantial teaching experience in medical physics, radiation physics and radiation biology combined with a demonstrated ability to inspire and engage students will set you apart.
For position 2, the ideal candidate must be an accredited medical sonographer by the Australian Sonographers Accreditation Registry with a minimum of 3 to 5 years clinical ultrasound experience.
