The Opportunity

The Research Infrastructure team has an exciting opportunity to join the team as a Research Infrastructure Partnerships and Engagement Manager!

The Research Infrastructure Partnerships and Engagement Manager is responsible for cultivating trusted partnerships and leading strategic initiatives that expand access to world-leading research infrastructure, enabling and supporting research excellence and impact at Monash. 

As the successful candidate you will be responsible for leading engagement and outreach activities with external stakeholders across the research infrastructure portfolio, including industry partners (i.e. research infrastructure vendors and suppliers), government agencies and funders, and research institutions. In addition, you will also collaborate with a diverse range of internal stakeholders to identify and facilitate opportunities that leverage Monash’s research infrastructure, platform capabilities, and partnerships to drive impactful research outcomes and foster innovation.   

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in building partnerships, preferably within a research context, or significant relevant skills and experience. They will demonstrate exceptional interpersonal and relationship management abilities, with a proven capacity to interact, influence, and negotiate effectively with diverse stakeholders, including senior management. This role demands a strategic mindset and the ability to work collaboratively in cross-functional environments, ensuring all initiatives align with the portfolio’s objectives and the University’s strategic direction.
