Remuneration: $135,417 - $143,738 pa HEW Level 09 (plus 17% employer superannuation)

The Opportunity

We have an exciting new position as a Software Development Lead to lead the delivery of advanced software development (both web-enabled and desktop) clinical research platforms. The role provides technical leadership, solution designs and leads change implementation across the testing, development and maintenance of applications software. The role partners with the HELIX Operations Manager to strengthen the IT capacity of Helix in managing large clinical and public health databases. This role will also be responsible for developing and implementing development and operational procedures within the team, which will in turn impact a range of projects within and outside of Helix. 

About YOU!

To be successfully considered for this role, you will demonstrate experience in the following:

  • Advanced skills in core technologies and one or more core programming languages especially C# and JavaScript coupled with a strong working knowledge of agile methodologies, SDLC, SQL, and RDBMS. Experience with modern JavaScript frameworks is desirable
  • Ability to quickly understand complex business requirements and translate these into well-engineered programs supported by extensive experience in the delivery of quality software development and construction practices, including application development, identification of test needs, testing and testing techniques, web development tools, configuration/release management, coding standards, code reuse and documentation
  • Outstanding planning and organisational skills, highly developed relationship management and consulting skills, including the ability to lead, mentor, influence and negotiate with a variety of customers and stakeholders
  • Lead and develop a highly-trained, motivated and efficient team with a strong customer focus
