The Opportunity
Climateworks Centre is seeking a dynamic and innovative Head of Enterprise Programs and Strategy to lead our Australian-based enterprise-focused programs and help drive the strategic direction of our organisation. This is a unique opportunity for an experienced leader to shape and implement programs that advance sustainable finance, credible transition plans, and capacity building, while overseeing modelling of decarbonisation trajectories at sectoral and national levels.
As a key member of our Executive Leadership Team, you will work closely with the CEO and other senior leaders to ensure Climateworks’ strategy and enterprise-focused programs deliver real-world impact at scale.
Reporting directly to the CEO, the Head of Enterprise Programs and Strategy:
- Leads the development and execution of enterprise-focused programs at sectoral and national levels
- Drives organisational strategy, overseeing strategic goal-setting, impact monitoring, and evaluation to ensure Climateworks maximises its influence and effectiveness.
- Shapes Climateworks’ research and analytical capabilities, guiding decarbonisation research, analysis and modelling as well as cross-organisational analytical insights.
- Represents Climateworks externally, fostering high-level relationships with government bodies, research and policy organisations, industry, donor organisations and corporations, and other key stakeholders.
- Works collaboratively with senior leadership, providing expert advice on strategic and operational decisions, as well as enhancing the impact, reputation and financial sustainability of Climateworks’
- Embeds a culture of learning and reflection, supporting Climateworks’ ambition to drive system-level transformation.
About You
We are looking for a strategic leader who brings:
- Proven expertise in strategy development and operationalisation within sustainability, public policy, business, commerce or related sectors.
- Strong strategic and analytical skills, with experience in impact monitoring, evaluation, and system change approaches.
- Exceptional interpersonal and stakeholder engagement abilities, with a track record of developing and maintaining influential relationships across government, industry, and research sectors.
- Leadership experience at a senior level, with the ability to guide teams, foster collaboration, and drive an ambitious agenda.
- A passion for climate action, combined with the ability to translate vision into tangible impact.
