The Opportunity
Reporting to the Capability Lead, the Senior Quality Assurance Engineer (SQAE) defines and communicates quality requirements in all processes, procedures and business outcomes. They will ensure the consistent delivery of IT solutions and services to meet the quality requirements of the business and satisfy stakeholder needs. The SQAE will implement quality standards and procedures in the application development process, including testing strategies, testing preparation and test execution, to ensure that the quality of the applications meet business requirements of the Student Management System Transformation (SMST) Program.
In the context of the SMST the SQAE will provide quality assurance of SMST's software delivery required for the replacement of the student management system in the current 2 year phase of this project.
To be successful the eligible candidate will have:
- Extensive hands-on experience with quality assurance and automated testing tools such as Postman, Playwright, Selenium, JMeter, LoadRunner, Login VSI, BrowserStack, HP Quality Centre
- Strong hands-on experience with scripting tools such as python or TypeScript
- Proven ability to accurately interpret testing needs and produce high quality technical documentation
- Excellent analytical and evaluation skills with experience problem solving and troubleshooting in a test environment
- Excellent interpersonal, communication, relationship management and consulting skills
- Ability to quickly develop detailed knowledge of the organisation's business procedures and systems along with highly developed planning and organisational skills
