The Opportunity

The Senior Investigation and Risk Assessment Specialist supports the Director, Safety and Support Services as 2IC. 

The role will play a key role leading the monitoring and evaluation of service provisions of SCU, with a strong focus on advancing inclusive, culturally safe and equitable practices.

As the successful candidate you will lead a team of SCU Specialists, drive innovation and continuous improvement in line with strategic goals, and explore opportunities for commercial ventures. You will manage a caseload of serious, complex and high-risk mental health and behavioural concerns, and play a key role in offshore incident response and advising SCU’s counterparts at international campuses.

The ideal candidate will maintain strong working relationships with key internal and external stakeholders, including leading meetings to work collaboratively to assess and manage high risk cases.

The role requires postgraduate qualifications and extensive experience in a relevant field, such as counselling, social work, forensic psychology; or an equivalent combination of relevant experience and/or education/training; and extensive experience and management expertise.
