About the role
Join Monash University’s Faculty of Medicine, Nursing and Health Sciences (FMNHS) as a key driver of industry engagement and research collaboration. This leadership role focuses on fostering strategic partnerships with corporate, government, and industry stakeholders to secure competitive research funding and commercialisation opportunities. Based primarily within the Alfred Centre and Clayton campus, you will work closely with senior academics, researchers, and innovation teams to identify and develop high-impact research collaborations. Your expertise in business development and relationship management will be instrumental in positioning FMNHS as a leader in industry-connected research.
About you
You are a dynamic and strategic business development professional with:
- Extensive experience in industry engagement, research collaboration, and securing competitive funding.
- A proven track record in business development, including contract negotiation, commercialisation, and financial modelling.
- Strong relationship-building skills to connect with senior academics, industry leaders, and government stakeholders.
- Deep knowledge of research funding schemes, intellectual property, and innovation pathways.
- Pre-clinical drug/biologic development experience
- Exceptional communication and leadership abilities to influence, negotiate, and drive impactful collaborations.
