The Opportunity

At Monash University, your work shapes the future. We are seeking an experienced Senior Clinical Trials Network Coordinator to play a pivotal leadership role in the delivery of major, multi-million-dollar international clinical trials in anaesthesia, pain medicine and perioperative medicine.

This is a senior, influential role within the ANZCA Clinical Trials Network, supporting MRFF and NHMRC-funded platform and randomised controlled trials across Australia and New Zealand. You will act as a subject matter expert and trusted advisor to senior academic leaders while overseeing complex trial start-up, delivery, governance and reporting.

A key focus of this role is serving as Program Manager for the MRFF-funded CALIPSO trial, while also contributing to the coordination and expansion of other national and international trials. You will work closely with investigators, hospital sites, industry and government partners to ensure trials are delivered to the highest scientific, ethical and operational standards.

Your Impact

In this role, you will

  • Lead and coordinate the establishment and delivery of large-scale, international, multi-centre clinical trials

  • Provide senior-level advice on trial design, governance, ethics, data management and reporting

  • Drive trial start-up activities across Australian and New Zealand hospital sites

  • Support and mentor research coordinators and site staff, fostering excellence in trial delivery

  • Partner with academic leaders to strengthen clinical trial capability and network growth

  • Contribute to strategic development of the ANZCA Clinical Trials Network

  • Deliver high-quality reporting, data analysis and stakeholder engagement across complex programs

About You

You are a highly experienced clinical research professional who thrives in complex environments and is motivated by real-world impact. You bring strong leadership capability, exceptional organisational skills, and a deep understanding of multi-centre clinical trials.

You will bring

  • Extensive experience in coordinating or managing multi-centre randomised controlled clinical trials

  • Strong knowledge of clinical research governance, ethics and Good Clinical Practice

  • Advanced project management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and stakeholders

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with confidence engaging at senior levels

  • Demonstrated leadership experience and the ability to mentor and guide research teams

  • Strong data management, analysis and reporting capability

  • Postgraduate qualifications or an equivalent combination of advanced experience and training
